Course Description
In some parts of the world, people are living to be 100 years old or more. Researchers have dubbed these unique areas “Blue Zones™” and have found that the keys to their longevity are closely associated with environment and lifestyle. We wondered... is it possible to integrate these, and other “well” aging concepts, to offer longer, happier lives to your residents? The answer is YES. Several evidence-based common factors prove that elevating your lifestyle and environment can add years to your life and life to your years. And you don’t have to move to a Blue Zone to do so. This session will illustrate how your organization can, through facility design, create an environment and lifestyle for residents that embodies these concepts of longevity.
