2018 SAGE Post-Occupancy Evaluation Webinars

These webinars review the major findings of the 2018 SAGE post-occupancy evaluation (POE) of Cypress Cover Memory Care Assisted Living Households. This EFA Design Showcase Award Winning project had specific design goals to enhance the experiences of residents and staff. 

An Analysis of Design Goals and Outcomes through a SAGE POE  (free recorded 60-minute webinar)

POE team members discuss this project in relationship to the design goals with specific attention given to the design of resident rooms and special planning details that provide discrete staff support and service delivery. These features are compared to the SAGE principles of safety, holism and well-being, autonomy, enhanced function, relationships, and support of caregivers.


A Closer Look at the Sensory Environment through a SAGE POE (free recorded 60-minute webinar)

POE team members discuss this project in relationship to the therapeutic goals of enhancing the sensory environment for residents and staff. Special attention is given to lighting details and how tunable circadian lighting systems are incorporated in the households. Direct observations and experiences from staff and family members are highlighted and implication for future research and innovation discussed.
