SAGE members Ric D'Amico and Jeff Anderzhon team up for AIA Iowa presentation 9/27/17

In "Preparing Environments for the Oncoming Age Wave Demographic" at the AIA Iowa Annual Conference, September 28-29 in Des Moines, "Ric D’Amico (ARCH Consultants) and Jeff Anderzhon (Eppstein Uhen Architects) discuss how positive human connections in senior living communities require a cohesive understanding of the exponentially growing age demographic and the unique trends inherent to the multi-generational Staff providing services to them.  They will explore how the physical, intellectual, cognitive and spiritual needs of those on the crest of the swelling age wave - and relevant demographic data - is informing universal design practices. Aligning with global "livable" city initiatives and reacting to broad consumer choices, Senior Living design is already inter-generational and therefore transferable to the whole of best practices in neighborhood and community development."
