Set for 1pm May 23rd, Cathie and Nelson
- State Chapter Committee
Explained it to the group and went over the initial results. The TX chapter will be sharing its resources with us in regards to outdoor spaces, including a three year research project with TX A&M. The WI chapter has been around for about 17 years, and their regulator is VERY involved. They've offered to have their regulator speak with the people at our MDCH. The State Chapter Committee becomes official next week and I foresee a lot of good things coming from it
- Presenter Pool? Explained the concept and how it could lead to us making presentations at conferences.
- Current Goals: WHO ARE TEAM LEADERS?
No one stepped up t be team leader on any of our goals. If any non-attendees wouldn't mind volunteering Nelson would very much appreciate some relief!
- Short Term Goals Due Feb 2011
- Article written by a steering committee member(s). This can be expanded to a larger article for "Provider" type publications, and turned into a presentation. Maybe we can start to think about doing this "short article" concept once a quarter and keep developing the short articles into longer articles and then to presentations. After a short time we could build up a decent library for members?
- "Spas", Photos and a paragraph or so from each person combined into an article for the Spring 2011 Newsletter. REPORT: Jeff has submitted material. JW has submitted material. Cathie has submitted material. Waiting for Earl and Laura. Nelson will compile into an article for the newsletter.
- Jeff McManus
- Cathie Coleman
- Laura Fuller
- Earl Eddy
- Joe Wronski
- Newsletter format to be set up for the first to go out in Spring 2011
Nelson will compile once all the material is submitted. Spas, outdoor spaces, baseline survey, article on the "New Role of the Architect" in relation to Culture Change.
- Nelson Keeler
- Joint Provider Conf., HCAM Multi-Disciplinary Conf, presentation on outdoor spaces to be pursued by: ( maybe Joint Provider should be put off a year until we can REALLY POLISH UP this presentation) REPORT: WE HAVE OUTLINES FROM ALL BUT LAURA. PLAN ON MEETING IN THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO TO FINALLIZE THE OUTLINE. Will have material from TX to include in the outline. See article in the handout. Nelson will talk to Patrick at PI in TX in the next week or two, prior to the meeting between those listed below. Lenny said he'd do a little write up as well. He made the comment about how the place is a "feeling", and it can be a good feeling, making people WANT to use the bath rather than dread it.
- Cathie Coleman
- Laura Fuller
- Marc Russel
- Nelson Keeler

- Nelson to set up email with announcement, vision/mission statements, list of upcoming SAGE Steering Committee presentations, links, member benefits, and list of current goals to be met by the 2nd week in Feb. REPORT:READY TO SUBMIT INVITE TO ASOM, HCAM, AIA. Will do so in the next week. Spoke to Elizabeth at HCAM and she'll get it into next week's newsletter.

- Long Term Goals
- POE, 6months for now (maybe, hopefully, if not, than whenever we can make it happen) TEAM LEADER? ANYTHING TO REPORT?
Long discussion about this. We will do a "practice" POE at Lori's Alzheimer's wing in Chelsea. Lori will do a "practicum POE evaluation outline" on Towsley Village. The team will review and comment. Jim Lark will review and begin the dialog about controlling the surveys to produce viable and meaningful results.
- Standardize forms and goals and processes? Set up site and do it. I'll forward the "Artifacts of Culture Change" to everyone. Done.
We need to find out if there's a way to "compare" facilities. Decide of this is a bad idea or not.
Students, AIAs, jury, on POEs?
